About me
I have a passion for animals and am very thankful to live in NE Iowa where we can enjoy all our critters God has blessed us with. Currently, we have horses, dogs, and cats. We raise a litter of puppies once or twice a year and have also fostered dogs in our home. Some might think my life has quite literally 'gone to the dogs,' but I love it!
Before marriage and children I worked at two different veterinary clinics in the Twin Cities. At the first clinic I worked as a receptionist and also assisted our veterinarian on large animal farm calls. The second clinic was a brand new, state of the art, small animal facility where I worked as a veterinary technician. Some of my summers were spent working as a horsemanship director at a camp; which involved guiding trail rides, teaching lessons, managing a dozen or more horses and a petting zoo, and training in wrangler staff. I have a Bachelor's degree from Bethel College, St. Paul, and worked for a short time in corporate America, but soon discovered that is not my passion. After taking time off to manage our little farm and raise our son, I'm excited to be back in the animal profession doing what I love. I am licensed through the state of IA and am excited to be able to offer special, one-on-one, enjoyable spa services to the local canine community. |
